The design of a quality database is essential to support the effective development of a good business and web marketing action. Not only are business information important and vital to your company, but I can also affirm that the organization of your data is useful for analysis to support a targeted marketing action.
The database is often a very weak point in service companies.
The data can be organized with the relational model, a typical model for the design of management databases, but we can affirm that if you want to analyze the data later, you will have to use other effective models for online analysis and for the creation of business dashboards (dashboards) useful for decision-making. Data mining on star schema and multidimensional models on data warehouses are essential for effective and automatic analysis and synthesis.
Here I present a work done with professionals in the sector that is the theoretical basis with exercises on the relational model.

- Identify the primary target using decision support systems
The design of databases oriented to management and analysis is the first step you must take if you do not have effective syntheses that indicate the target in an accurate and objective way based on data
- Identify products and/or services to be advertised or commercialized in an effective way
- Identify communication policies among existing models (for the product and target)
- Create a comprehensive communication strategy on multiple levels (various channels)
- Production and implementation
- Collection of results based on time and sample and implementation of corrections to maximize outcomes (phase that can be engineered with OLAP tools)
